It has been reported by the Spanish publication that Barcelona have decided to place the 23-year-old forward in the transfer market.
It has been claimed that the Spanish and European giants will inform Dembele’s agent of their decision once the season ends in August.
Earlier this month, Gianlucadimarzio.com reported that Liverpool have made a loan offer with the option to sign Dembele – whose “pace is frightening in training”, according to his teammate Lionel Messi, as quoted in GiveMeSport – on a permanent contract next summer.
Boost for Liverpool?
The report in Gianlucadimarzio.com claimed that Dembele has turned down Liverpool’s offer of a loan deal.
However, with Barcelona having reportedly decided that they will sell Dembele this summer, perhaps the Reds will get another chance.
Dembele will have no choice but to leave Barcelona if the Spanish giants want him gone, and maybe he will reconsider the offer from Liverpool.
Of course, it means that the Reds will have to make a bid to sign the France international on a permanent contract, but it could be worth it in the long run despite the youngster’s injury problems in recent times.
