West Ham United are reportedly interested in signing Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney in the summer transfer window.

West Ham United are interested in signing Wayne Rooney from Manchester United in the summer transfer window, according to The Express.

It has been reported that the Hammers are ready to pay the £150,000-a-week salary that Rooney wants.

United manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly told the England international forward that he can leave in the summer transfer window.

Rooney’s former club Everton wanted to sign the 31-year-old, who has also operated as a midfielder, on loan from the Red Devils in the January transfer window, according to the report.

West Ham are a very ambitious club, and Rooney would a marquee signing for the London outfit.

While the Englishman may not be a regular for United at the moment, he is good enough to play in the Premier League and is certainly good enough to play for West Ham.

The 31-year-old has scored two goals and created 25 chances in 18 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils so far this season.

Rooney has scored two goals and created eight chances in five league matches for United so far this campaign.
