West Ham United and Reading are reportedly interested in signing Moritz Leitner from Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window.

West Ham United and Reading are interested in signing Moritz Leitner from Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window, according to Goal Germany.
It has been reported that Premier League club West Ham and Championship outfit Reading want to sign the 23-year-old midfielder this summer.
However, according to the report, the German midfielder is set to join Lazio and in due in Italy for a medical, with a deal having been made.

It seems that both West Ham and Reading have lost their chance to sign Leitner in the summer transfer window.
Championship club Reading probably never had a chance, as it is unlikely that they could have been able to tempt the 23-year-old.
After all, having been on the books of one of the most exciting teams in Europe since 2011, the midfielder would probably not have not entertained the idea of playing in the second tier of English football.

As for West Ham, the London club could have tempted Leitner into a move by offering him Premier League and (potential) Europa League football.
Leitner could feature in just nine Bundesliga appearances for Dortmund during the 2015-16 season.
