Ashley Fletcher joined West Ham United in the summer of 2016 after leaving Manchester United at the end of last season.

West Ham United could have to pay Manchester United as much as £2 million for Ashley Fletcher, according to The Sun.
Fletcher joined West Ham in the summer of 2016 after leaving Premier League rivals Manchester United at the end of the 2015-16 season.
“Hammers will pay £1 million up front and guaranteed with a further £1 million in appearances and a chunky sell-on of 30 per cent,” states the report in The Sun.
According to Football.London, the fee was settled by a tribunal as West Ham and United had failed to agree on a fee back in the summer of 2016.
Fletcher’s 2016-17 season has not been great, as he has struggled for playing time and has failed to break into West Ham’s first team.
The 21-year-old striker has featured in 13 Premier League matches for the Hammers so far this campaign, but only two of them have been starts.
The youngster has yet to score or provide an assist in the league this campaign, but he has created four chances.
Given his age, Fletcher should not have expected to play in each and every match for West Ham this season.
The England Under-20 international, though, should be looking to play a bigger role for the Hammers during the 2017-18 campaign.
