West Bromwich Albion are reportedly keen on Leeds United’s Chris Wood.

According to The Mirror, West Bromwich Albion are interested in re-signing Leeds United striker Chris Wood – five years after letting him leave the club.
The Baggies saw Salomon Rondon go five months without a goal before ending his drought in April, and manager Tony Pulis must find another striker to ease the goalscoring burden.

Pulis should have money to spend this summer, and The Mirror noted earlier today that West Brom are interested in re-signing Leeds United striker Chris Wood to beef up their attack – though they may have to battle the likes of Stoke City and West Ham United.
Wood, 25, joined West Brom from Hamilton Wanderers in his native New Zealand back in 2009, and made his way up through the ranks at The Hawthorns to eventually score three goals in 27 game.

After loan spells with Barnsley, Brighton, Birmingham, Bristol City and Millwall, Wood was sold to Leicester city in 2013, but he spent just two-and-a-half years there before joining Leeds.
The powerful striker has enjoyed the best spell of his career so far at Elland Road, smashing 30 goals in all competitions this past season to take his tally for the club to 43 goals in 86 games – the magic one in two record strikers love to have.

Leeds’ failure to reach the play-offs and Garry Monk’s exit have been used as reasons to suggest that Wood may leave the Whites this summer, and West Brom could now bring him back to the club.
Wood was given few chances in the Premier League with West Brom or Leicester, and having gone away and improved himself at Leeds, the time may be right for West Brom to admit their mistake and bring him back to the club – though will have to pay a huge price to convince Leeds to sell their star man.
