Steve Walsh will reportedly look to make plans for Everton’s next three transfer windows this weekend.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Everton director of football Steve Walsh will head a scouting summit this weekend as the club look towards the January transfer window.
The Toffees splashed the cash in their first transfer window following Farhad Moshiri’s investment, snapping up the likes of Maarten Stekelenburg, Ashley Williams, Idrissa Gueye and Yannick Bolasie.

Ronald Koeman has made a strong start to his first season as Everton boss, but more investment will be needed, particularly after the Toffees missed out on so many transfer targets over the summer.
The Mirror reported on deadline day that Everton attempted to land Moussa Sissoko but lost him to Tottenham Hotspur, and couldn’t convince Napoli or Porto to sell Manolo Gabbiadini and Yacine Brahimi respectively.

It remains to be seen whether Everton make renewed attempts to land Gabbiadini and Brahimi during the upcoming transfer window, but it seems that the Toffees are ramping up the preparations for January.

Everton recently saw scouts Steve Brown and Ian Atkins leave the club for Manchester United and Aston Villa respectively, but Martyn Glover and Laurence Stewart have been brought in to help Walsh.
They’ll both have an input on Everton’s direction in the transfer market, and whilst the focus may immediately be on the January transfer window, it’s claimed that the meeting will also include planning for next summer’s transfers, as well as January 2018, as Walsh looks to get long-term plans in place.
