According to Todo Fichajes, Tottenham Hotspur are launching a move for Real Betis striker Loren Moron despite talks with AC Milan.
It’s claimed that negotiations with Milan are ‘well advanced’. They’re keen to lure Loren to Serie A, but there could yet be a hijack attempt by Spurs.
Jose Mourinho has allegedly made a specific request for Loren’s signature. He allegedly knows that he needs to find a striker to challenge Harry Kane, and really likes the Spaniard.
Tottenham allegedly want to make a move to change minds at Betis, sending him to England rather than Italy. This report states that Betis will demand €25million (£22million) for the striker.
Loren, 26, has impressed this season. With 11 goals and three assists in 29 games, Loren is averaging close to a goal contribution every other game.
The Spaniard is 6ft 2in tall, and possesses an all-round game with technical ability, movement, penalty box finishing and the physicality to lead the line.
That’s the kind of striker Spurs need to help Kane, though this isn’t a top-tier source in Spain and it’s almost hard to see Tottenham paying that kind of money now.
The global pandemic means Tottenham’s budget has been hit, and Mourinho may have to focus on loans, free agents and swaps as a result.
Splashing more than £20million on Loren seems unlikely under these conditions, even if Mourinho does really like him, though he’s certainly a name to keep tabs on given recurring links wth Spurs.
