Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Bayern Munich midfielder Mario Gotze in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur are set to miss out on Mario Gotze this summer, according to The Mirror.
It has been reported that Tottenham made an approach for the Bayern Munich midfielder in the summer transfer window.
Gotze, who is reportedly valued at £20 million, is expected to move to German club Borussia Dortmund instead, according to The Mirror.
The 24-year-old Germany international midfielder started his professional club football career at Dortmund before switching to Bundesliga rivals Bayern in the summer of 2013.

Disappointment for Tottenham Hotspur?
Gotze is a hugely talented footballer and would have been a good signing for Tottenham.
The 24-year-old midfielder has not been able to develop or progress as much as he would have wanted to at Bayern, but he has a lot of potential.

Spurs finished third in the Premier League last season and will feature in the Champions League during the 2016-17 campaign.
The North London outfit need a bigger squad than what they have at the moment, and perhaps more importantly, they need to add players of quality.
Gotze’s creativity and vision would have been assets for Tottenham, but it seems that he will now move to Dortmund.
