Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Pau Lopez from Espanyol in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Pau Lopez from Espanyol in the summer transfer window, according to Monday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo, as reported by Sport Witness.
It has been reported that Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino wants to sign the 21-year-old goalkeeper this summer in order to provide first-choice custodian Hugo Lloris with competition.
According to the report, Pochettino knows Lopez well, and believes that he could compete with France international Lloris for the number one spot between the posts at Tottenham.

The Spain Under-21 international has been at Espanyol his entire professional career so far and is a very promising young goalkeeper.
However, it does come as a surprise that Tottenham head coach Pochettino is (reportedly) looking for a new goalkeeper.
Lloris is a world-class goalkeeper, while second-choice Michel Vorm is an able deputy who has Premier League experience.

Lopez would be the third-choice goalkeeper at Tottenham as things stand, but perhaps Pochettino should give that spot to youngster Luke McGee instead for the 2016-17 campaign.
Spurs will be aiming to win the Premier League title this season and will also compete in the Champions League.
