Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Everton’s Ross Barkley in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that Tottenham are interested in signing 20-year-old midfielder Diop from Spanish club Celta de Vigo.

Spurs are also claimed to be interested in recruiting 21-year-old central defender Sanchez from Ajax this summer.
According to The Daily Mail, if the North London outfit are able to sign the two youngsters, then they will consider abandoning making a bid for the 23-year-old attacking midfielder Barkley.
“Between them, they can play in the positions Barkley would occupy – attacking and central midfield role – and Tottenham’s coaching staff believe that would satisfy their requirements in the middle of the park,” states the report in The Daily Mail.

The England international has been at the Toffees his entire professional club football career so far, but the 23-year-old’s current contract with the Merseyside outfit runs out next summer.
It seems that Tottenham are ready to move on from their pursuit of Barkley.
