Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

It has been reported that Tottenham are among a number of clubs who have been approached this summer over the transfer of Fernandes by Sporting, who need the £50 million they want as transfer fee for the Portugal international midfielder.
The Daily Mail has claimed that Spurs have decided not to make a move for the 24-year-old Portugal international midfielder.
Surprise twist
This reported latest development regarding Fernandes and Tottenham is quite different to what was reported in the Portuguese press last week.
It was reported in Record that the 24-year-old was set to join Spurs after snubbing interest from Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City.

Stats
According to WhoScored, Fernandes made 33 appearances in the Portuguese league for Sporting this season, scoring 20 goals and providing 13 assists in the process.
The midfielder scored three goals and provided one assist in eight Europa League matches this campaign, according to WhoScored.
