The Italian international is currently out with a knee injury.
It is being reported in Italy that Tottenham Hotspur remain interested in Sassuolo winger Domenico Berardi – a player they have been linked with over the past 12 months.
It is reported by Corriere dello Sport that Tottenham are one of several clubs hoping to sign Berardi in the summer, with his current club now resigned to losing him.
Domenico Berardi scores for Italy from the penalty spot
Spurs are believed to be keeping eyes on a number of wide players and Berardi is one of the top options in Italy.
There is however a twist to the report. CdS is reporting that Berardi wants to join Inter Milan. He is not keen on a move to Juventus but is apparently hopeful of staying in Italy, which would rule out Tottenham and another interested party in Barcelona.
Domenico Berardi celebrates scoring for Sassuolo
Berardi has only played twice in Serie A this season, scoring in both games. He also played in the Europa League qualifying rounds, scoring five goals in four games meaning a tally of seven goals in six appearances this season. Unfortunately he has not played since August because of a knee problem.
Tottenham face a battle to get hold of the player if they are as interested as reported.
