According to Mundo Deportivo, Tottenham Hotspur need to pay just €10 million (£9.11 million) in transfer fees to sign Can Bozdogan from Schalke in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported by the Spanish publication that La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid are also interested in signing the left-footed midfielder this summer, with the report describing the German teenager as a ‘pearl’.

Stats

Bozdogan, who is a left-footed midielder, made three appearances in Bundesliga for Schalke during the 2019-20 campaign, according to WhoScored.

All of the teenager’s appearances came as a left winger, according to WhoScored.

Summer transfer?

Tottenham and Atletico are massive clubs, and it must be very tempting for Bozdogan to switch to the English or the Spanish club.

However, it would make sense for the 19-year-old to stay at Schalke for one more season at least and get some regular playing time.

Bozdogan is still very young and raw as a footballer, and getting a healthy amount of playing time in Germany next season will help him.

Schalke finished 12th in the Bundesliga table this past season with 39 points from 34 matches.
