Report claims Tottenham Hotspur bid for Maxi Gomez

Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are reportedly interested in Celta de Vigo striker Maxi Gomez.

According to Galicia Press, Tottenham Hotspur have made an offer of €29 million (£25.07m) for Celta de Vigo striker Maxi Gomez.

It has been reported that Gomez has a release clause of €50m (£43.22m), and that Celta are not satisfied with Tottenham’s initial offer.

The report has also claimed that Celta president Carlos Mourino will not accept anything less than €35m (£30.25m)

Galicia Press has also claimed that West Ham United are interested in securing the services of the 22-year-old Uruguay international, who is reported to be definitely leaving Celta this summer.

Celta are 17th in the La Liga table at the moment with 32 from 32 matches, a point clear of the relegation zone.
