Sunderland have been linked with Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Jason Steele.

Sunderland could be interested in signing goalkeeper Jason Steele from Blackburn Rovers in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 61, May 21, 2017).
The Black Cats will play in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League.

Blackburn will feature in League One during the 2017-18 campaign after finishing in the bottom three of the Championship this season.
Steele has been on the books of Blackburn since 2015 and has a contract with Rovers until June 2018, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
According to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 61, May 21, 2017), Sunderland could target Steele this summer.
The former England Under-21 international is a good goalkeeper and has a lot of experience in the Championship.
If the Black Cats are not able to keep hold of 23-year-old goalkeeper Jordan Pickford for the 2017-18 season, then signing 26-year-old former Middlesbrough custodian Steele would be a good idea.
