Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has been linked with Everton in the summer transfer window.

According to Foot Mercato, Everton manager Ronald Koeman has spoken to Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud over the phone.

It has been reported that Giroud will think about Everton’s interest in him and will make a decision in early August.

The Arsenal striker knows the Premier League inside out, and the France international would be a good signing for the Toffees.

With the signing of Alexandre Lacazette in the summer transfer window and the presence of Alexis Sanchez at the Emirates Stadium, Giroud could find it tough to play regularly for the Gunners next season.

Everton are an ambitious club and have made some stunning signings so far this season, such as Wayne Rooney and Davy Klaassen.

The Toffees are aiming to break into the top six of the Premier League next season and perhaps could even challenge for the Champions League places.

According to The Mirror, Arsenal want more than £30 million as transfer fees if they are to sell Giroud, who is also claimed to be on the radar of West Ham United.
