West Ham United reportedly looked at former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini before appointing David Moyes.

It has been reported by the British tabloid that the Zenit Saint Petersburg boss is open to returning to manage in the Premier League if he is given £15m as salary.
“Not only that Mancini is requesting ten private jet flights to Italy AND 52 business class flights back home each season,” adds the report in The Sun.

According to The Sun, the West Ham board refused to meet Mancini’s demands and subsequently appointed David Moyes as their manager.
Mancini is a very good manager who is a serial winner. The Italian won Serie A and Coppa Italia with Sampdoria and Lazio as a player on multiple occasions, and the Scudetto with Inter Milan as a manager.

The 52-year-old former Italy international forward also guided Manchester City to the Premier League title in 2012 and the FA Cup in 2011.
West Ham are an ambitious club and appointing someone like Mancini would have been a huge statement of intent, but the Hammers would have been made to pay what the Italian reportedly wants.
