Ajax’s Nicolas Tagliafico, Real Betis’ Junior Firpo and Paris Saint-Germain’s Stanley N’Soki are reportedly on the radar of Rafael Benitez’s Newcastle United.

According to The Chronicle, Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez has concerns that he may not to able to sign Ajax’s Nicolas Tagliafico, Real Betis’ Junior Firpo or Paris Saint-Germain’s Stanley N’Soki in the January transfer window.

Newcastle reportedly want to sign a left-back, with 26-year-old Tagliafico, 22-year-old Firpo and 19-year-old N’Soki claimed to be on manager Benitez’s wishlist.

The trio are claimed to be the near of the top of Benitez’s wanted list in January, and the former Liverpool manager is reported to have acknowledged that he may have to settle for a target further down his list.

Relegation worries

Newcastle are 14th in the Premier League table at the moment with 16 points from 17 matches, four points above the relegation zone.

The Magpies’ recent results and performances have been encouraging, but concerns remain that they will go down to the Championship at the end of the season.

Benitez’s side will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Fulham at St. James’ Park in the Premier League.
