According to the Daily Mail, Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has angered officials at the ‘big six’ Premier League clubs over his Project Big Picture comments.
Liverpool and Manchester United were leading a plan to restructure English football last week, in which the Premier League would be cut to 18 teams, the bigger clubs would have more power and a guaranteed relegation place would be gone.
The plans went nowhere in the end, and Radrizzani was particularly vocal about the idea, telling The Times that the proposal was a ‘disgrace’ and slated the ‘back door’ methods of the big clubs.
The Italian has been praised for his strong stance, but it seems that officials at the traditional ‘big six’ are furious with him over his comments.
One source told the Mail that it’s ‘difficult to take’ being lectured to by Radrizzani given that Leeds have played four Premier League games in 16 years, feeling that it isn’t fair that he and Leeds get the same say as clubs who have played a key role in making the Premier League a juggernaut.
Additionally, Radrizzani is being branded a hypocrite having suggested the creation of a Premier League 2 when Leeds were in the Championship whilst attempting to force the EFL to renegotiate its TV deal in search of more money.

Premier League bosses seemingly haven’t forgotten those stances, and now don’t like how Radrizzani is attempting to block new ideas with Leeds promoted.
Still, the ideas aren’t exactly identical, and Radrizzani is well within his rights to have issues with the new proposals or simply have changed his mind, with Leeds fans surely backing the Italian all the way.
