According to Bleacher Report, Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino is convinced that Crystal Palace ace Wilfried Zaha is the perfect signing for this summer.

Spurs have remarkably gone two straight transfer windows without making a new signing, and it’s clear that Mauricio Pochettino’s squad needs some strengthening and freshening up.

Lucas Moura’s up-and-down season may mean that Pochettino pushes for another versatile attacking signing to help Harry Kane and Son Heung-min in the final third.

One name regularly linked with Spurs is Zaha, with Tottenham failing with a £15million bid for the wide man according to BBC Sport in 2016.

Now, approaching three years on from that bid, Bleacher Report claim that Pochettino is still interested in Zaha, and actually believes he’s the ideal addition for Tottenham’s new stadium.

It’s stated for Pochettino thinks Zaha has the ‘style, quality and personality’ to play at Tottenham’s new home, despite previously struggling at a huge club in Manchester United.

The Ivorian, 26, has grabbed eight goals and three assists for Palace this term, continuing to show that he’s one of the top forwards in the Premier League, whilst offering versatility to play out wide or up front.

His skill and pace would be welcomed at Spurs, but the claims about Pochettino’s thoughts are interesting. It may just hint that Tottenham are thinking that bigger characters are needed to go along with their bigger stadium, and Zaha seemingly fits the bill for the Spurs boss.
