The Irish Independent has reported that Burnley midfielder Jeff Hendrick is not in a hurry to make a decision on his future, amid reported interest from Newcastle United, Celtic and AC Milan.

Hendrick is out of contract at Burnley at the end of this month, with TEAMtalk recently claiming that Newcastle and Celtic want to secure the services of the midfielder on a free transfer this summer.

Sky Sports have reported that Milan want to sign the 28-year-old former Derby County star.

According to The Irish Independent, Hendrick is not in a rush to make a decision on his future and will take his time before “considering his next career move”.

The report has added that Burnley have offered the Republic of Ireland International a new contract.

Good signing for Newcastle United or Celtic?

Hendrick has been on the books of Burnley since 2016 and is a very good midfielder who knows the Premier League inside out.

Given his status as a free agent this summer and amid the current economic situation in the world of football due to the global health crisis, the former Derby midfielder would be a very smart and (relatively) low-cost signing for Newcastle or Celtic.
