Norwich City and Reading are understood to have agreed a fee for Oliveira’s transfer.
Nelson Oliveira’s £8 million move from Norwich City to Reading fell through after Canaries boss Daniel Farke intervened, according to The Sun on Sunday (July 23rd, page 59).
HITC Sport exclusively revealed earlier this month that the two clubs had agreed a fee for Oliveira’s transfer, a claim which has since been corroborated by the Sunday tabloid.

Farke later told the Eastern Daily Press that he was content with the Portuguese striker, with whom he likes working, and The Sun on Sunday states that it was the German’s decision to hang on to him.
“I am happy in Norwich,” he said. “I feel settled. I feel I have the support of the people in the club and my team mates and of the fans so I feel very good here.”
Reading boss Jaap Stam is keen to strengthen his attacking options this summer, and Oliveira, who has scored 20 goals in 56 Championship appearances for Nottingham Forest and Norwich, could have been ideal.

Brighton’s Tomer Hemed has also been linked with a move to the Madejski Stadium (Sun), where another forward, Jon Dadi Bodvarsson has already arrived from Wolverhampton Wanderers this month.
