Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Manchester City-owned West Ham United goalkeeper Joe Hart in the January transfer window.

It has been reported that Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez is keen on signing the England international on loan.
The Magpies have reportedly made discreet enquiries to see if they can secure the services of the 30-year-old in the January transfer window.

Hart has lost his place in the West Ham starting lineup following a series of a disappointing performances.
Adrian has done well in the place of the Englishman, and it looks likely that the Spaniard will remain the first-choice goalkeeper for West Ham for the foreseeable future.

West Ham, though, may not be open to terminating the loan deal with City over Hart, who won the Premier League title with the Citizens in 2012 and 2014.
After all, the Hammers still need two quality goalkeepers for the second half of the season.
Both West Ham and Newcastle are struggling for survival in the Premier League at the moment.
