According to The Sun, Newcastle United would be interested in landing Eddie Howe should they part ways with Steve Bruce.
Bruce oversaw another defeat on Saturday night as Newcastle lost 2-0 away at Aston Villa in a toothless and uninspiring performance.
Newcastle have taken just two points from the last eight Premier League games and have remarkably scored just twice in their last seven outings.
Bruce is under huge pressure now, and it’s suggested that Howe is being eyed up by Newcastle if they do make a change soon.
Mike Ashley is thought to be reluctant to sack Bruce, but the pressure is mounting and Howe is emerging as a potential replacement at St James’ Park.
The problem for Newcastle is that Celtic want Howe too, according to this report, with Neil Lennon under similarly huge pressure.
