Newcastle defender Chancel Mbemba appears to be on the move following reports he wants out of St. James’ Park.

Apparently the 23-year-old touched down on Monday evening and is set to finalise negotiations, and put pen to paper on a proposed deal until 2022.
Every Love Island contestant if they were an England international: World Cup!
Supposedly things were a little more complicated back then with other clubs in the picture, such as former club Anderlecht, but things have been ‘defined’ over the last couple of days. This is after Chronicle Live had reported he was desperate to leave for the Portuguese champions.

Assuming there are no unforeseen setbacks, the Congo international should be unveiled later this week according to Maisfutebol, which would bring to an end his three-year stint at St. James’ Park.
The defender has made a total of 58 appearances for the club, with only nine coming in the Premier League last season as Jamaal Lascelles, Ciaran Clark and Florian Lejeune featured heavily under boss Rafa Benitez.
Mbemba was used far more in his debut season, at the end of which Newcastle were relegated from the Premier League, but over the past couple of seasons he has failed to gain the trust of the Spaniard and has looked shaky.
