Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Mohamed Diame from Hull City in the summer transfer window.

Newcastle United are interested in signing Mohamed Diame from Hull City in the summer transfer window, according to The Chronicle.
It has been reported that Newcastle have made a bid for the 29-year-old defender.
The Magpies, who will play in the Championship this season after getting relegated from the Premier League table at the end of the 2015-16 campaign, have reportedly identified the Senegal international as a possible replacement for Moussa Sissoko.
“The Magpies are yet to sell the French international, but want Diame to boost their midfield, and the Senegal international is thought to be interested in a move to Tyneside,” adds the report in The Chronicle.

Sissoko has been linked with moves away from Newcastle in the summer transfer window, with The Chronicle recently reporting of Juventus and Real Madrid’s interest in the France international midfielder.
Diame has been on the books of Hull since the summer of 2014 and has a contract with the Tigers until June 2017, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

The former West Ham United midfielder scored nine goals and created 31 chances in 39 Championship appearances for Hull last season.
The 29-year-old Senegal international had a pass accuracy of 78% and a shot accuracy of 35%, and won 24 headers, 53 dribbles and 43 tackles.
