Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic have been linked with Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge in the January transfer window.

According to Turkish news outlet Fanatik, Moussa Dembele has decided to stay at Celtic until the end of the season, meaning that the Glasgow giants will not make a move for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge.
It has been reported that Dembele has decided to remain at Celtic for the rest of the season despite interest from Premier League club Brighton and Hove Albion in the January transfer window.

The Gambling Times have credited the Hoops with interest in Liverpool striker Sturridge, but according to Fanatik, Dembele’s decision not to leave for Brighton means that the Glasgow giants are no longer pursuing the 28-year-old England international striker.
According to Fanatik, Turkish giants Fenerbahce are the only serious option for Sturridge and will make a loan offer for the former Chelsea and Manchester City striker.

Sturridge is a brilliant striker who worked with Celtic manager Rodgers at Liverpool, but the report of Dembele staying at Celtic Park until the end of the season must certainly be great news for the club’s fans.
Dembele is one of the best young strikers in Europe, and the 21-year-old Frenchman would be important for Celtic in the Europa League this season.
