Leeds United are reportedly in the race to sign Swansea’s Modou Barrow, along with Aston Villa and Newcastle.
According to The Sun, Swansea City want to offload winger Modou Barrow before Tuesday’s transfer deadline – and a host of clubs are keen on him.
Barrow, 24, joined Swansea from Swedish side Ostersunds in the summer of 2014, but has been eased into Premier League action having been sent out on loan to Nottingham Forest and Blackburn Rovers in 2015.

The Gambian winger has become a first-team regular with the Swans this season though, as he has notched two assists in 18 Premier League appearances, but his future is now in doubt.
Swansea swooped to sign winger Luciano Narsingh from PSV Eindhoven earlier this month, and with the likes of Nathan Dyer, Wayne Routledge and even playmaker Gylfi Sigurdsson all featuring out wide, Barrow may be the odd man out.

Now, The Sun report that Swansea are keen to offload Barrow before Tuesday’s transfer deadline, though they prefer a permanent deal worth £7million rather than a loan deal until the end of the season, with four English clubs allegedly keen.
It’s stated that Premier League side Southampton as well as Championship trio Aston Villa, Leeds United and Newcastle United are all targeting Barrow, whilst there is also interest from China too.
Leeds boss Garry Monk worked with Barrow at Swansea, but whilst the winger would provide Monk with another dangerous attacking option, it seems unlikely that Leeds would be able to splash £7million on him – especially with permanent deals for Pontus Jansson and Hadi Sacko on Leeds’ wish list.
A loan deal would be perfect for Leeds, but Swansea may not be open to that right now, meaning Barrow faces an intriguing 48 hours, with his future up in the air ahead of Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
