Liverpool have been linked with Hector Herrera.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Porto’s Hector Herrera prefers to join Napoli over Liverpool.
The report claims that the Mexico international is being targeted by both clubs this summer yet in a surprising twist, his preference is to move to Napoli over the Premier League club.
The Sun recently reported how Liverpool were within one or two steps of signing the Porto midfielder as Jurgen Klopp looks to strengthen his side ahead of next season.

The Reds were dealt a blow after missing out on Bayern munich0s Mario Gotze, and it was said that the Merseyside club had identified Herrera as an ideal alternative to the German star.
However, it now appears they may have to further broaden their search as Herrera closes in on a big-money move to Italian side Napoli, as told in a fresh report by GianlucaDiMarzio.
The former Pachuca man is currently away on international duty with Mexico, competing in the 2016 Copa America in the United States as a celebration of the competition’s 100 year anniversary.

Mexico currently top their group, with Herrera finding the net during El Tri’s opening 3-1 win over Uruguay.
Liverpool are in need of adding a new energetic midfielder this summer, and Herrera would have been ideal considering his box-to-box qualities and ability to stamp his mark on the team.
