Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino wants more control over transfers, according to The Times.

It has also been reported that Pochettino has told Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy that he does not want him to find a direct replacement for the club’s departing head of recruitment, Paul Mitchell.

“The Tottenham chairman is likely to bow to Pochettino’s wishes and move away from the sporting director model he introduced at White Hart Lane,” adds the report in The Times.

Mitchell is due to leave Tottenham in December after handing in his notice last August, according to report, which means that Spurs will probably have been searching for his replacement already.

It seems that Pochettino wants more power over who Tottenham sign in the coming transfer windows.

The Argentine boss has been in charge of Spurs since the summer of 2014 and has done a truly brilliant job.

The North London outfit were in the running for the Premier League title until the final weeks of last season.

Tottenham are doing well in the league at the moment and could progress to the last 16 of the Champions League as well.

Spurs will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Bournemouth away from home at the Vitality Stadium in the Premier League.
