Mateusz Klich has left Leeds United for Utrecht on loan in the January transfer window.
Mateusz Klich arrived at Elland Road in the summer of 2017 with a strong reputation, but the Poland international midfielder failed to do much of note at Leeds United in the first half of the season and has now been loaned out.
The 27-year-old midfielder was able to make only four appearances in the Championship for Leeds this season, playing a total of just 131 minutes of league football.
The Poland international, who cost the West Yorkshire out a transfer fee of £1.5 million when he joined from FC Twente in the summer of 2017 according to The Yorkshire Evening Post, has left Leeds on loan for Utrecht in the Netherlands on loan in the January transfer window.
Have Leeds fans seen the last of Klich? Probably. According to The Yorkshire Evening Post, the midfielder is likely to seek a permanent move away from the Whites in the summer of 2018.
Given the fact that Klich made no impact whatsoever at Elland Road this season, it is hard to see the 27-year-old returning to Leeds next season and establishing himself in the first team.
