The Premier League champions are interested in signing Thiago from German giants Bayern in the summer transfer window, according to the report.
The Bundesliga outfit want €30 million (£27.15 million) as transfer fee and are standing firm on that stance, but the Reds have told them that they will not pay it, according to the report.
The report has added that the 29-year-old himself is keen on moving to Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
Advantage Liverpool?
Described as “an exceptional talent” by former Crystal Palace and Birmingham City forward Clinton Morrison on Sky Sports News (2:11pm, July 26, 2020) (click here to read more), Thiago is a brilliant footballer who controls the midfield for Bayern and is a serial winner.
The former Barcelona central midfielder would make Liverpool a better and stronger team, and perhaps Jurgen Klopp’s side have the advantage.
Thiago reportedly wants to join the Reds, and that could prove decisive, as Bayern may not want to keep a player who wants to leave.
