Liverpool and Manchester United are reported to be interested in Atletico Madrid defender Jose Gimenez in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that Premier League giants Liverpool and United have been put on red alert by comments made by the 22-year-old central defender.
The Uruguay international centre-back has revealed that he dreams of playing in the Premier League, but the youngster has also claimed that he would happily remain at Atletico for the rest of his playing career.
“I dream of playing in the Premier League because all matches are fairly even,” The Daily Star quotes Gimenez as saying. “I would like to go.”
“If Atletico makes me a contract for life, I’ll stay,” added the youngster.

Liverpool or Manchester United?
Liverpool and Manchester United are two of the biggest clubs in the world, and it must be flattering for Gimenez that the Premier League teams are (reportedly) interested in him.
The former Danubio centre-back is a very talented and promising young player, and he would be a good long-term signing for the Reds or the Red Devils.
If the youngster does indeed decide to move this summer, then perhaps Liverpool would be a better choice than United.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp would be able to improve Gimenez, who would be given more time and afforded more patience at Anfield than at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho.
