Leeds United have announced Helder Costa’s loan move that will become permanent next summer, and they will reportedly pay £15 million.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Leeds will make Helder Costa’s loan move permanent next summer and will pay £15 million for the winger, who has signed a four-year pre-contract deal with the Whites.
Leeds put the fans out of their misery on Wednesday when they announced on their official website that Costa has joined on loan for the coming campaign. Interestingly, both the Whites and Wolves confirmed that the 25-year-old’s move would become permanent next summer.
And the Daily Mail and Daily Mirror have since suggested that Leeds have agreed to pay £15 million for the Portuguese next summer, with the Mail adding that he has signed a four-year contract that will start in 2020.
It is a huge statement for Leeds to apparently commit to the terms being reported. Costa is a talent and has a proven track record in the Championship, but the Mail notes that he is set to become Leeds’ most expensive acquisition since the club signed Rio Ferdinand for £18 million in 2000.

The Whites have rarely splashed the cash since they were relegated from the Premier League. And even though Andrea Radrizzani has made more extravagant purchases during his time in charge than his predecessors – the likes of Patrick Bamford, Adam Forshaw and Barry Douglas have all arrived for sizeable fees in recent years – few would have probably expected a £15 million agreement to be struck.
But the report certainly suggests that Marcelo Bielsa believes that Costa is the kind of player who could inspire the Whites as they look to get promoted at the second time of asking under the Argentinian.
