Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United are just two of the sides being credited with interest in Wilmot.

Leeds United were one of several clubs interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur target Ben Wilmot in January, according to the Independent.
The report claims Tottenham bid slightly less than the £500,000 figure offered by Watford at the start of the year, and adds that Brighton, Liverpool, Derby County and Leeds were ‘very keen’ on the Stevenage centre-back.
Wilmot was recently called into England’s Under-19 squad – the only League Two player to do so – after an impressive breakthrough campaign at Broadhall Way.

And according to the Independent, Stevenage have set an asking price of £1 million for the teenager, which is likely to be met by a Premier League side this summer.
Leeds looking lower down the league ladder?

Wilmot is the latest lower- or non-league player to be linked with a move to Leeds, who recruited Sam Dalby (Leyton Orient) and Jordan Stevens (Forest Green) in January, along with Tyler Roberts, who had impressed on loan to Walsall.
However, it looks as though they could lose out on this occasion, especially if clubs such as Liverpool and Tottenham are lurking.
Can Leeds compete with Tottenham and co for Wilmot’s signing?
