Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Walker is confident that he will join Manchester City in the summer transfer window, according to The Mirror.

It has been reported that Walker expects to be a City player in time for the Citizens’ US tour next month.

The England international defender has reportedly told his friends that he hopes that the switch from Spurs to City will be completed in the next two weeks.

The Mirror has claimed that two clubs are yet to reach an agreement over a transfer fee, with Spurs holding out for close to £50m.

It would make sense for both Tottenham and City to come to an agreement soon. Spurs would have to sign a replacement for the right-back, and manager Mauricio Pochettino would not want the saga to drag on.

Maybe Spurs could lower their valuation of Walker. Maybe the North London outfit should settle for £40m for the 27-year-old right-back.

Walker is one of the best right-backs in the Premier League, and it could be hard for Tottenham to find a suitable replacement if they leave it too late in the transfer window.
