West Ham United may face an uphill battle to sign Kryzysztof Piatek.

According to Calciomercato, Genoa striker Krzysztok Piatek only wants to join AC Milan, and seemingly isn’t keen on a move to West Ham United.
The Hammers have been linked with a whole host of strikers this month, and Genoa ace Piatek was one name heavily touted in the last few days.
23-year-old Piatek has hit 19 goals in 21 games for Genoa since arriving from Cracovia over the summer, becoming one of the most wanted strikers in Europe.
SportItalia’s Alfredo Pedulla suggested West Ham have offered €40million (£35million) for Piatek, which was the closest offer to Genoa’s valuation – but they had told Milan they had priority, so West Ham were left waiting.
Now, Calciomercato claim that Piatek has made it clear to West Ham that he wants to sign for Milan instead, and isn’t considering other alternatives this month.
That position could of course change down the line, but right now it seems that if Piatek is to make a big move, it would be to the San Siro rather than the London Stadium.

West Ham’s striker search has been because of rumours about Marko Arnautovic making a big-money move to China, with Piatek eyed as one potential replacement.
However, there appears to have been a twist in the tale, as the Daily Mail claim Guangzhou Evergrande have pulled out of a deal for the Austrian hitman, meaning West Ham may no longer need Piatek anyway – or they’ll have to find a different buyer for Arnautovic.
