According to The Mirror, reported Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers target Diego Costa wants more than £250,000 per week as salary.

Costa is a free agent at the moment, having recently parted company with Atletico Madrid.

The former Chelsea striker has been linked with Premier League duo Tottenham and Wolves.

The client of super agent Jorge Mendes is wanted by Wolves, according to The Daily Mail, while La Razon claims that Tottenham are interested in the 32-year-old Spain international striker.

Unlikely Tottenham Hotspur or Wolves move?

With Raul Jimenez injured at the moment, Wolves do need an experienced striker for the rest of the season.

However, with Costa reportedly unwilling to reduce his wage demands, it is hard to see the Wanderers sign the 32-year-old in the January transfer window.

Harry Kane and Son Heung-min are banging in the goals for fun at the moment for Spurs.

Carlos Vinicius is also an option for head coach Jose Mourinho, meaning that the North London club are not exactly in need of another striker. Moreover, Costa is 32 years of age now and is past his prime.
