Newcastle United may loan out defender Javi Manquillo this summer.

According to The Chronicle, Newcastle United may let full back Javi Manquillo leave the club on loan this month.

The Magpies are pushing to sign Amiens defender Emil Krafth, which would give Steve Bruce four right backs to work with at St James’ Park.

Krafth would join DeAndre Yedlin, Jamie Sterry and Manquillo in the right backs ranks, but Spaniard Manquillo may be the odd man out.

It’s now claimed that Manquillo could be farmed out on loan if Krafth does join, and it’s a move which will raise some eyebrows on Tyneside.

Manquillo was a 2017 signing by Rafael Benitez, and not exactly a popular one after struggling on loan with bitter rivals Sunderland.

The 25-year-old hasn’t featured much for Newcastle, but impressed some fans towards the end of last season, and he’s been praised as a standout performer from pre-season too.

However, Manquillo may be bizarrely loaned out just as he’s hitting form, and that’s left fans completely baffled with these latest claims.

Some feel sending him out on loan would be a ‘stupid’ decision’ and an ‘absolutely pointless move’, with many urging the club to get rid of DeAndre Yedlin instead, as letting Manquillo go right now would be a ‘joke’.
