Tottenham Hotspur have progressed to the last-16 stage of the Champions League this season.

The 3-1 victory over Real Madrid at the Wembley Stadium in London on Wednesday evening saw Spurs book a place in the last-16 stage of Europe’s premier club competition.
It has also been reported that the Spurs players will receive a total of £7.5m as bonus if they go on to win the Champions League this season.

Incentive scheme
Tottenham have a struct wage structure, but their bonus scheme in the Champions League appears to be very appealing.
By implementing such a bonus scheme, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is able to make sure that each and every player gives his best and plays as a team.

While it is hard to see Tottenham go all the way in the Champions League, given their performances and results against Madrid both home and away, it would safe to suggest that they do have the quality to progress to the quarter-finals or perhaps even the semi-finals.
