Burnley have been told to pay as much as £4 million to sign Charlie Taylor from Leeds United in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun.
It has been reported by the British tabloid that Premier League-bound Burnley were quoted £4m to secure the services of the 22-year-old Leeds player this summer.
The Clarets have now turned their attention towards Liverpool full-back Jon Flanagan and want to sign him on a season-long loan deal, according to the report.
“Burnley fancy Flanagan after being quoted £4 million by Leeds for their highly-rated left back Charlie Taylor,” states the report in The Sun.
“However the Kop are still stinging from the lengthy wait they had over the Danny Ings tribunal fee and may not be in a hurry to help.”
Burnley are not the only Premier League club (reportedly) interested in signing Taylor, who can play as a left-back or as a left-winger.
According to The Guardian, Middlesbrough, who won promotion from the Championship at the end of last season, and West Bromwich Albion are interested in the English youngster, who is also claimed to be on the radar of Championship club Newcastle United.
Taylor scored one goal and created 44 chances in 38 Championship appearances for Leeds during the 2015-16 season.
The 22-year-old had a pass accuracy of 74% and a shot accuracy of 36%, and won 61 headers, 40 dribbles and 59 tackles.
