Crystal Palace are reportedly keen on Stoke City’s Saido Berahino.

According to The Sun, Crystal Palace are considering a shock move to sign Stoke City forward Saido Berahino before tonight’s transfer deadline.
The Eagles have still yet to bring in attacking reinforcements to bolster Roy Hodgson’s options, despite clearly needing another striker this month.
Christian Benteke’s return is a boost, and Connor Wickham scored against Tottenham on Sunday, but one more forward player could really help Hodgson’s side.
Now, The Sun’s live transfer blog (11:45am) claims that Hodgson is now lining up a bizarre move, with Stoke’s Saido Berahino potentially wanted by Palace.
Berahino, 25, was once a Premier League boy wonder with West Brom, but his career has really gone off track in the last couple of years.
This term, Berahino has scored just five goals in all competitions, and with new Stoke boss Nathan Jones ringing the changes at the bet365 Stadium, Berahino could be available.

Hodgson worked with Berahino at West Brom and even called him up to the England squad in November 2014, though he didn’t feature and now represents Burundi instead.
A Palace move would be a reunion for Hodgson and Berahino, with the pair no doubt hoping that working together again can help get the striker back on track.
