Everton will pay former Newcastle United and West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce a weekly salary of around £100,000 per week, according to The Sun.

It has been reported that Everton will hand Allardyce a two-and-a-half-year contract to become the new first-team manager.

The British tabloid has also claimed that the 63-year-old Englishman will be at the match between the Toffees and West Ham United at Goodison Park in the Premier League this evening.

The Toffees are struggling in the Premier League at the moment and are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.

Allardyce knows how to keep clubs in the Premier League, and in the former England head coach, the Merseyside outfit will have a safe pair of hands.

There are some wonderful players at Everton, but the problem is that they are underperforming and need a confident boost.

Perhaps the arrival of Allardyce at Goodison Park will do just that…
