Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is taking a keen interest in Dominik Szoboszlai following his move to Liverpool.
Dominik Szoboszlai is receiving help from an old friend with Erling Haaland trying to help him settle into life in England.
That is according to The Athletic, who claim that Haaland has immediately been in contact with Szoboszlai.
The pair played together at Red Bull Salzburg between January 2019 and January 2020.
Haaland and Szoboszlai only made 19 appearances together – losing just twice, with one of the defeats coming against Liverpool – but struck up a strong friendship.
It’s stated that Haaland was in contact with Szoboszlai after his move to Liverpool, congratulating him on the big switch.
The pair will now become rivals in the Premier League but that isn’t important to the Norwegian hitman right now.
Haaland has even been trying to help Szoboszlai settle into life in England by recommending places to live.
The playmaker is now expected to move to Cheshire, as most North West footballers do, with Haaland playing a key role in telling him where to go.

Liverpool would love Dominik Szoboszlai to shine like Erling Haaland
It’s almost impossible for anybody to rack up the numbers Haaland did in his first Premier League campaign.
The Norwegian scored a ridiculous 36 goals in 35 Premier League games for City, taking the move to England in his stride.
That’s the part Liverpool will hope to see from Szoboszlai too – settling into Premier League life quickly.

He and Haaland have been on similar paths; move to Red Bull Salzburg from their home countries, shine there, move to the Bundesliga, keep progressing and then earn a big switch to England.
Szoboszlai has bags of quality and can provide a real creative spark in midfield for Liverpool, something we don’t usually associate with a Jurgen Klopp midfield.
The stage is set for Szoboszlai to become a Liverpool star and take the Premier League by storm, hopefully chasing down Haaland and City in the process.
