West Ham United are reportedly interested in Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner.

David Wagner is in charge of Huddersfield Town at the moment and is doing a wonderful job, but it seems that he is open to leaving the Championship club at the end of the season.

Huddersfield are going strong in the Championship this season and should be able to clinch a playoff spot. There is also the possibility of claiming one of the two automatic promotion places.

According to The Sun, Wagner’s agents are trying to find him a new club, which could either be in the Premier League or in the Bundesliga.

“Huddersfield boss David Wagner is a wanted man at home and abroad – with two agents vying to find him a new club,” states the report in The Sun.

“The German is looked after by an agency with links in both his homeland and Britain. And the two branches of the firm are working on his next move, either to the Bundesliga or the Premier League.”

If Wagner is indeed open to the possibility of leaving Huddersfield and switching to a Premier League club, then it could be of interest to West Ham.

The Sun reported last month that the Hammers are looking at the former USA international striker as a possible replacement for Slaven Bilic.

Bilic has come under pressure due to West Ham’s recent disappointing results in the Premier League, although the club did give a public backing to him by releasing a strong statement on the official website.

Perhaps things could change at the end of the season. If the Hammers fail to finish in the top 10 and Huddersfield do not get promoted to the Premier League, then maybe the London club could make an approach for Wagner.
