West Ham United have been linked with Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter in the January transfer window.

It has been reported that West Ham are interested in Arter and made an opening bid of £8 million for the 27-year-old midfielder.
The Hammers have had their bid turned down by their Premier League rivals, but manager David Moyes is determined to secure the services of the Republic of Ireland international, according to the report.

“West Ham made an initial inquiry for Arter this week but were rebuffed,” states the report in The Express. “However Moyes, determined to get his man, is set to go back in when the window opens.”
Arter has been on the books of Bournemouth since 2010 and has been a key figure for the club in recent years.
The Republic of Ireland international midfielder has also proven himself in the Premier League and would be a good signing for West Ham.
The Hammers will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Newcastle United at the London Stadium in the Premier League.

West Ham manager David Moyes has suggested that Cheikhou Kouyate could be available for the game against the Magpies.
The 27-year-old Senegal international, who can operate as a midfielder or as a defender, has been out with a hamstring injury.
Kouyate has been on the books of the Hammers since the summer of 2014 when he was signed from Belgian club Anderlecht for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Mail to be worth £7 million.
“The good news is that Cheikhou Kouyate is back in full training so we hope he will be available for tomorrow,” Moyes wrote in The London Evening Standard on Friday.
