According to The Sun, Crystal Palace are interested in signing Reece James from Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that Palace have pencilled in James as a potential replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka should the right-back leave in the summer.

However, according to the report, Chelsea have turned down a £10 million offer for the 19-year-old full-back, who is on loan at Wigan Athletic in the Championship in England at the moment.

The Sun has claimed that Chelsea want to keep hold of the talented and promising young player.

Chelsea stay?

Brighton and Palace are Premier League clubs, but Chelsea are much bigger and James can certainly establish himself in the first team at the Blues in the coming years.

After all, the England Under-20 international is just 19 years of age, and he is only just starting his professional club football career.

According to WhoScored, James has made 42 starts and one substitute appearance in the Championship for Wigan so far this season, scoring three goals and providing three assists in the process.
