According to The Mirror, there are concerns in the camp of Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley about the proposed takeover.

It has been reported that there are concerns that the longer the proposed takeover deal is delayed, the less likely it will go through.

Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) want to buy the Magpies in a £300 million deal, but the Premier League have yet to give their approval, according to the report.

The report has also claimed that Newcastle central defender Jamaal Lascelles has spoken to Ashley on behalf of the squad asking for clarify over the takeover.

Staying patient

As things stand, it is up the Premier League to give the go-ahead to the proposed Newcastle takeover.

There is nothing that the Magpies or the club’s fans can do until that happens except stay patient and remain positive.

It will be best for everyone concerned if a decision is made soon so that Newcastle as a club can move on or move forward.

After all, Newcastle need to start planning for next season soon.
