Brighton and Hove Albion are said to have made multiple offers for the Sunderland midfielder.

Brighton and Hove Albion are set to sign Sunderland midfielder Paddy McNair in a deal that could be worth £7 million, according to the Sun.
The newspaper claims Brighton will pay around £5 million up front, with the remaining £2 million due in appearance and achievement related add-ons.

Confusingly, however, it adds that McNair has yet to speak to the Seagulls, whose manager Chris Hughton is awaiting permission to open talks.
That said, convincing the 23-year-old to give up League One football in favour of a return to the Premier League is not expected to prove much of an obstacle for the side from East Sussex.
McNair’s exit will help to provide funds for Sunderland’s new manager Jack Ross, according to the Sun.

The Northern Ireland international stood out as Sunderland dropped out of the Championship last season, following a lengthy lay-off.
And second tier sides Stoke City, Derby County, Norwich City and Middlesbrough have all been credited with interest.
However, it is Brighton who appear to have won the race.
