Brighton and Hove Albion have already had a £2 million offer turned down for the Sunderland midfielder, according to reports.

Sunderland are reportedly braced for a second Brighton and Hove Albion bid for Paddy McNair.
Brighton have already had a £2 million offer turned down for the Sunderland midfielder, according to Sky Sports.
And the Sun reports (May 31st, page 55) that the Seagulls are readying a new approach.

The newspaper adds that Brighton manager Chris Hughton is attracted to McNair’s versatility, with the Northern Irishman also capable of playing right- or centre-back.
The 23-year-old began his career at Manchester United, whom he left to join Sunderland in 2016.
However, he has played little part in the Mackems’ slide down the leagues due to a cruciate ligament injury.
McNair appeared just 16 times in last season’s Championship, but scored an impressive five goals.

After McNair impressed on international duty this week, Northern Ireland manager Michael O’Neill told the Belfast Telegraph that the Ballyclare native is ‘determined to get back to the Premier League’.
